About

Starting therapy can be an overwhelming task. It may feel unnatural to confide in a stranger, admit vulnerabilities, or ask for help. Many people may even feel lost and confused, alone to shoulder the burden of their deepest worries or most painful secrets. Psychotherapy can be a powerful tool—one where you can become free from the suffering created by these burdens. Therapy is a space where you begin to explore the questions that escape us on the day-to-day: who am I? where do I find meaning? is this path right for me? These questions can seem daunting, but you won’t face them alone—together we will take the plunge and, hopefully, find clarity, wellness, and self-understanding.

A therapist can help in a variety of ways. They may sometimes provide support, validate deeply-held beliefs, or provide encouragement for life’s most difficult challenges. Or they may encourage us to reexamine our thoughts and feelings, fostering greater mental flexibility and self-understanding.

Through therapy, we may discover things about ourselves that were previously hidden, rediscover our capacity to love and embrace others, or foster forgiveness for our deepest regrets. A psychotherapy process will likely take twists and turns, but it is a ride that may provide you with a deeper connection to yourself and a set of tools to manage the adversities and good fortunes of life.
